Sometimes the most compelling miniatures are rooted in familiar scenes. This Community Spotlight highlights a build that takes an ordinary setting and transforms it into something beautifully detailed and full of charm.
This month's creative work comes to us from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada where an artist that goes by the name of Chazz, spends his time creating more than everyday scenes in his workshop. He was gracious enough to answer a few questions for us about his latest creations.

Please describe your diorama.
Triple J's Gas & Go, family-owned business. Owner Father & Mother and 3 siblings, each sibling name will start with J, each sibling will have a different role in the business.
Starting with the Gas & Go, once the Gas & Go is complete a second Triple J's will open and then the final third.
As I build the vehicles, from cars to trucks etc. I'll determined which one will be placed in that particular diorama.
Each has a different theme and will combine theme and vehicles.
Due to the J's project still a work in progress, I can't reveal the siblings' names or the other two dioramas.
Stay tuned for the adventures at the J's and watch the family business build.
What inspired you to build this particular diorama?
After viewing other dioramas, they all seem to be the same, all garage's or shop's. Which is fine, I just wanted show something different, unique, with different adventures.
Being Canadian based, with some Canadian themes going on.
Why did you choose to work in 1:24 scale?
All the vehicles are built in 1/25 scale, 1/24 provide me with different options for prop's and not interfering in the look.
What first got you into the miniature or diorama hobby?
I wanted something to display my builds on and with the variety of interests in vehicles Triple J's was the answer.
Which MstrcrftMinis items did you use in this project (if any)?
MstrcrftMinis, gave me the variety I need to create the look. From ice storage unit, ATM, change machine, cash resister, garbage cans and more. MstrcrftMinis even helped in bring to life, a mop, broom and dustpan, along with Canadian money. Helping the Canadian theme become Canadian

What was your favorite part of building this diorama?
The interest in creating this diorama in 3 different scenes and being different diorama's is got to be the favourite.
What was the most challenging part of the build?
The challenge was creating a family business, that every sibling was involved in and making them work together as a family. Plus, being to place different vehicle builds in different dioramas.
Do you see yourself as more of a planner or an improviser when building?
I think as myself as both, planner and improviser. Able to see it before its built and planned in my head.
What is your next miniature or diorama project going to be?
I have several different ideas in mind, mostly to create the second and third part of the Triple J's.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your project or your process?
The project itself, watch my idea/creation grow with the same vision I have in my mind.
The process is slow, with many add-ons and not much time to create. I also created a floating shelf display with a rotating stand to show built models. With Mstrcrftminis electrical boxes.
